How it works

A plan built around your goal, not around a coursebook

A coursebook is a tool, not a syllabus. The order of topics depends on what you need English for and how much time you can actually give it.

What we ask on the first call

  • What you need to do in English in the next few months.
  • How many hours a week are realistic — not aspirational.
  • What you have already tried, and why you stopped.
  • What actually blocks you: fear of mistakes, speed, listening, or vocabulary.

What the plan consists of

Core

One main coursebook at your level. We change it if the pace doesn't fit.

Speaking

At least half of every lesson is spent talking, not on rules.

Between lessons

Short 15–20 minute tasks that fit around a working day.

Formats

One-to-one. For your own pace, an awkward time zone, or a specific goal — an interview, a move, technical documentation at work.

Small group. Three or four people at the same level. Cheaper, and there is someone to talk to besides the teacher. Groups are assembled from requests, so the schedule is built around the people who are actually waiting.

How long it takes

One level is roughly 24–30 lessons at two sessions a week. Once a week, multiply by one and a half: regularity matters more than the length of the course.

Progress depends on the time between lessons more than on the length of the course, so we plan around the weeks you can actually study.
